After scoping the project, I carried out a content audit of the existing site (a 90+ page Wordpress maze with over 15 content managers).
By holding a research workshop with 20 participants close to the hospice, I learned what was working well with the current website and what needs were currently unmet. These insights fed into the generation of 60 User Stories for the 6 identified key user groups.
A deep-dive into how other brands and services (in and out of industry) had best served the prioritised User Stories helped fuel ideation.
I created a site map that became the blueprint for the information architecture, key user journey wireframes, content strategy and finally the interactive and responsive prototype.
With regular check-ins with both the client and technical team, the prototype was tested internally and refined.
After working closely with Monumentum Brands to apply the new visual identity to the wireframes, I established the design system - a resource including modular and reusable components, colours, icons, button states and typography for both desktop and mobile.
With breakpoints and transitions defined, I handed over the prototype and design system to the developer, acting as QA as the site went into build.

"Working with Alice as our UX lead was like having a secret weapon - an incredibly complex project suddenly seem like a cinch. Having Alice run everything from user journey mapping through to the finished interactive wireframes meant the process was effortlessly methodical, making the final designs surreally easy to create."
